In concert, an African venture.
He grew up in the city, Nairobi, but attended an upcountry boarding school from a young age, where he was introduced to traditional music performance and choir.
He was formally discovered classical music at Lenana School where he taught himself to play the piano and learnt to sing in 4-part harmony with the school choir. This is where he started his conducting, as chair of the school choir in his final year.
